Start your day in a calm and positive state of mind! Join this friendly group session for some simple guided meditation.
We will explore two main meditation techniques:
Mindfulness of Breathing – a classic method to calm and direct your busy brain.
Metta Bhavana – developing empathy and kindness towards self and others.
These meditations are from Buddhism but you don’t need to be a Buddhist to do them – this class is for everyone! No special equipment or clothing required. Chairs provided or bring your own kit and sit on the floor if you prefer. Beginners are welcome, also seasoned meditators who’d like to meditate with others.
Led by Kusaladana (William) Boyle, whose Buddhist name means ‘skilful giving’. He’s an experienced meditation teacher and Wivenhoe resident who teaches classes at the Colchester and Ipswich Buddhist Centres.
